Almost all the members of the Executive of the Misrachi, the orthodox Jewish faction of the Zionist World Organization resigned. The resignations are the result of a protracted crisis due to severe differences of opinion. The question of the tactics to be pursued by the Misrachi and to criticisms of the conduct of affairs by the President, Rabbi Meier Derlin, were the points of controversy.
Some members of the Executive, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns, advocates the Misrachi organization entering the Zionist organization of America, however, maintaining their identity. They feel that the emphasizing of the differences
between the Misrachi and the Zionist organization would only lead to a weakening of the efforts made for the rebuilding of Palestine and it would be more advisable to form a special group within the ranks of the Zionist organization than to remain a body outside the American Zionist Organization and to be merely represented in the Zionist World Congress.
Mr. Berlin, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns, is opposed to the Misrachi entering the Zionist organization.
