President Weizmann and Premier David Bon Gurion as well as all members of the government and the entire consular corps in this city, including U.S. special representative James G. MacDonald, last night attended a formal reception at the Soviet legation marking the 31st anniversary of the Russian Revolution.
Premier Ben Gurion also dispatched a message to Premier Stalin congratulating the Soviet Government and thanking the U.S.S.R. for the assistance it gave Israel in its struggle in the U.N. for independence. He also expressed the hope that friendship will continue to be maintained. The Freedom Movement also sent a congratulatory message to the Soviet legation for transmission to Moscow. (The Israeli legation in Moscow today presented a set of Scrolls from the Great Synagogue in Tel Aviv to the Great Synagogue of Moscow.)
