Croatia’s Jewish community is welcoming the opposition center-left victory in the country’s parliamentary elections, hoping that a change of government will end its country’s isolation. A two-party coalition, the Social Democrats under Ivica Racan and the Social Liberals led by Drazen Budisa, won the single largest bloc of seats in Monday’s voting. The two parties have promised to build bridges to the West.
