The Anglo-American inquiry committee’s recommendation that 100,000 Jews be admitted to Palestine immediately was not a British concession to the American members of the committee, Richard Crossman, a British member, said here last night.
Crossman denied that the six Britons on the committee had received any directives from Foreign Minister Bevin and said that the recommendations resulted from mutual concessions by both groups.
