Crowds Clash with Communists After Independence Parade in Haifa

A clash occurred on the streets of Haifa after the military parade here ended when spectators turned on Communist demonstrators. The members of the crowd tore down May Day banners and signs carried by the Communists and trod on them. The Communist demonstration dispersed before police arrived on the scene.
