The transfer to Israel of several carloads of machinery from DP camps in Germany was announced here today by the headquarters of the world CRT. The move is in line with a plan which the CRT has embarked upon to gradually shift its vocational training activities from Europe to artisan schools in Israel. More shipments are in preparation, the announcement said.
The CRT office here also announced the shipping to Tel Aviv from Geneva of complete installations for schools to train typewriter repair workers and wireless operators. A shipment of 353 sewing machines–part of the organization’s artisan aid program–was also dispatched to Israel.
