Congressman Antonio Prumeda today asked Parliament to prohibit immigration into Cuba of the citizens of 14 countries. His bill would bar immigrant from Germany, Russia, China, Japan, Poland, Hungary, Czecho-Slovakia, Yugoslavia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Rumania, Haiti and Jamaica. It was believed aimed chiefly at checking Jewish immigration.
Congressman Pruneda also asked President Laredo Bru decree a census of Central Europeans who arrived here in the parts three years for the purpose of deporting those competing with Cuban workers.
