Cultural Autonomy for Jews in Poland Demanded by Bloc of Left Parties

Improving the political situation of the national minorities in the Republic of Poland is one of the features in the program of the bloc of left groups in the Polish Sejm, according to a number of resolutions adopted by the bloc today.

At a meeting of the left groups bloc the following resolutions were adopted:

1. To demand the immediate dissolution of both houses;

2. To urge the government to grant, within the borders of the Polish Republic, a territorial autonomy for the White Russians and the Ukrainians;

3. To urge the government to grant to the Jews and Germans cultural autonomy under which the Jewish population in Poland would be in a position to regulate by its own elected representative the religious, educational and cultural questions.
