Cunliffe-Lister Favors Suffrage for Women in Tel Aviv, Palestine

In reply to a speech made today in the House of Commons by Rhys Davies, Laborite, urging general suffrage for women in Palestine, Sir Philip Cunliffe-Lister, Secretary of State for Colonies, declared that it would be ridiculous to force woman suffrage in Moslem districts.

Sir Philip declared, however, that woman suffrage in places like Tel Aviv was justifiable.
