CURENTUL ALSO PUBLISHES ANSWERS BY DR. WILLIAM FILDERMAN, PRESIDENT OF THE UNION OF RUMANIAN JEWS, TO A QUESTIONNAIRE IT SUBMITTED.

DR. FILDERMAN WARNS A MASS EMIGRATION OF JEWS WOULD CREATE AN ECONOMIC CRISIS AND AN INDUSTRIAL COLLAPSE IN RUMANIA. POINTING OUT THE JEWS COMPRISE FIVE PER CENT OF THE POPULATION AND OTHER MINORITIES 22 PER CENT, HE ASKS WHY THE JEWS SHOULD BE FEARED AND NOT THE GERMANS AND MAGYARS WHO OUTNUMBER THEM THREE TO ONE.

STRESSING THE IMPORTANCE OF PALESTINE FOR RUMANIA, DR. FILDERMAN DECLARES RUMANIA OCCUPIES THIRD PLACE AS A COUNTRY OF EXPORT TO THE HOLY LAND, AFTER GREAT BRITAIN AND GERMANY.
