A Federation of Jewish War Veterans is being formed in Czecho-Slovakia, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency learns from the Ministry of Defense.
The new organization, which will be modelled along the lines of the organizations of Jewish war veterans in other countries will organize those Jews who served in the Czech Legions which fought before the Revolution for the creation of the Czecho-Slovakian Republic.
The movement is directly inspired by the Jewish soldiers’ movements in other countries, but also by the realization of the need to counter the growing anti-Jewish and reactionary feeling in certain legionary quarters, which it is added, is condemned, however, by the majority of the army members, both active and on the retired list.
