The Prager Mittag, German emigre paper, today reported conclusion of a pact between German and Czechoslovakian film interests by which Germany engaged to import from Czechoslovakia twenty films yearly instead of four, with the provision that the pictures conform to Nazi racial requirements.
The paper declares the agreement still lacks ratification by the Czechoslovakian Government.
If approved, the compact would mean introduction of the “Aryan” principle in this country’s growing film industry.
Commenting on the reported pact, the Mittag declares:
“For their money, the Germans will be able to get pure racial films, but the last word is still with the Czechoslovakian Government.”
