Equal civil and religious rights for all citizens are guaranteed in the post-war confederation agreement signed here today by the governments of Poland and Czechoslovakia.
The constitution of both states and any other nation that may become a signatory of the pact, must contain the following guarantees: 1. Freedom of conscience; 2. personal freedom; 3. freedom of learning; 4. freedom of the spoken and written word; 5. freedom of organization and association; 6. equality of all citizens before the law; 7. free admission of all citizens to performance of all state functions; 8. independence of the courts of law; 9. control of government by representative national bodies elected by means of free elections.
