Over a half million crowns have been collected in Slovakia during the last few weeks, Leo Rosenthal, Bratislava chairman of the recently-organized Czechoslovakian Jewish National Fund drive, announced today.
A total of 70,000 crowns were collected here by Zionists for the planting of trees in Palestine. The collection was undertaken on the occasion of the departure of Oscar Neumann, local Zionist leader, for Palestine.
