Telephone subscribers in Prague, where Jews are barred from having telephones, were warned today that if they allow Jews to use their phones, or transmit messages for Jews, their service will be discontinued.
An announcement of the Postal Department, published in the Prague daily Neue Tag, states: “It has been established that many telephone subscribers have given Jews permission to make use of their telephones. The Postal Administration, therefore, draws attention to the fact that such conduct is not permitted and will result in the discontinuance of service. It is also unlawful to transmit any message over the telephone on behalf of Jews.”
