The Forward is of the opinion that by re-electing President Coolidge the American public has given its voluntary approval of the capitalists who stand behind Coolidge and his party. Says the Forward.

“The large mass of Americans cast their vote for Calvin Coolidge because they were afraid of the vengeance of the money-men who stand behind Coolidge. The American public. by voting for Coolidge. declared themselves slaves to Wall Street they confessed that they are cowardly meek and humble subjects of the big capitalists.

“Coolidge’s victory means four years of terrible reaction. The trusts will become more insolem than ever in their treatment of labor. The farmers will have to suffer more than before from the bankers and the railroads.”
