The New York Daily News today reiterated its appeal for immediate passage of the Wagner-Rogers bill in its original form. Commenting on a letter from a reader captioned “A Refugee Testifies,” the editorial declared: “In ordinary human charity, and for the sake of our own souls, Congress ought to pass this bill before it adjourns, even though it may let every other piece of major legislation on its program go over to its next session.”
