Israel’s newest submarine, the Dolphin, is due at her home base tomorrow after taking part in the search for her sister vessel, the submarine Dakar, which was reported missing last Thursday with 69 aboard. Like the Dakar, the Dolphin is a former British submarine and was on her maiden voyage under the Israeli flag. The 1,280 ton vessel was commissioned in the Israel Navy at a British naval base several weeks ago.
A third sister of the Dakar, the Israeli submarine, Leviathan, also took part in the search which, up to now, has been fruitless.
