The Jewish Welfare Federation of Dallas’ 1966 campaign — the most successful in its 55-year history except for the 1948 emergency drive — has passed the $1, 000, 000 mark, the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Fund reported.
Campaign chairman Joe H. Golman said the dramatic success of the drive is the result of three years of painstaking evaluation and planning. During the past three years, there has been a sharp upturn in each campaign. In 1964, there was a 10 percent increase; 14 percent in 1965, and 17 percent this year.
The Advance Gifts Division, under the leadership of Jacob Feldman, sparked the campaign by achieving increased gifts amounting to an average of 30 percent among all givers of $500 and over. Campaign director is Jack Kravitz and Federation president is Nolan Glazer.
