The board of directors of the Jewish Welfare Federation of Dallas agreed last week to assist in the resettlement of 10,000 Vietnamese and Cambodian refugees. The Dallas Federation joined other U.S. Jewish welfare groups in the resettlement effort initiated by the United HIAS Service. The Dallas board of directors has asked its Federation’s Executive Committee to implement any details involved in the project, including the number of refugees to be resettled in Dallas, The federal government and public welfare funds are expected to pay for the resettlement costs.
