The Congregation Shearith Israel, which will celebrate its Golden Jubilee next month, wants to get in touch with the following rabbis who at one time or another occupied its pulpit: Simon Glazer, last heard of as rabbi of the Borough Park Congregation of Brooklyn; Rabbi Luria or Luryea, last heard of in Chicago. Information is also desired concerning Rabbi S. Margules, now dead, but formerly rabbi in San Francisco. The congregation is publishing a golden book in connection with the jubilee, one section of which is to be devoted to its past history, hence the request for information concerning the missing rabbis.
