The Education Commission of the Seym passed to-day at the third reading the Government bill for the reorganisation of the private school system, rejecting all the motions introduced by the Jewish Deputies and the other opposition groups for removing the dangers which they see in it to the unhampered existence of the schools of the minorities.
Deputy Sommerstein, speaking in the name of the Club of Jewish Deputies, read out a declaration, in which he repeated the arguments which he used against the bill, during the consideration of the bill by the Commission (given in the J.T.A. Bulletin of the 24th. inst.), contending that the Government bill as adopted by the Commission constitutes a violation of the rights of the minorities guaranteed in the Constitution.
