A gang of vandals, believed by police to be Fascists, today wrecked the interior of a synagogue here, smashing pews, tearing a valuable scroll, and painting swastikas on the walls.
The same gang is believed responsible for the recent raid on a Jewish immigrants’ home, during which walls were disfigured with swastikas and numerous documents stolen. Police have failed to find a trace of the vandals.
