The Danish Government has rejected an appeal by the Jewish community to exempt Danish Jewry from compliance with government regulations prohibiting the slaughter of animals without previous electrical stunning.
The regulation will not come into force until after Passover, it was stated after a Cabinet meeting here, and will not apply to the slaughter of all kinds of fowl.
