Jewish refugees and other anti-Nazis who have emigrated from Danzig faced loss of citizenship today as the result of a decree promulgated by the Nazi-dominated Senate.
The measure provides that anyone living abroad for five years who loses contact with Danzig or engages in activities harmful to the Free City’s interest may be deprived of citizenship. The decree will particularly effect those Jews who left Danzig after the Nazis came into power or fled to Poland following the recent anti-Semitic disturbances.
