Four hundred Jewish-owned houses are being offered for sale as result of the Free City Senate’s decision to call municipal mortgages given to Jews on Oct. I. The inability of Jews to redeem the mortgages under existing conditions is resulting in many foreclosures. Among the foreclosed properties is the Jewish People’s House, which, it is reported, will be taken over by the Hitler Youth Organization as headquarters.
