Commenting today on Moscow radio attacks on Premier David Ben Gurion’s recent speech at a Mapai conference, Davar editorially emphasized that millions of Moscow radio listeners were unaware how Communists in this country misled the Communist movement regarding Palestine for the last 25 years.
Davar declared further that the Israel Communists had continued to mislead Soviet opinion, after agreeing to the establishment of the Jewish state. The Israel Communist Party, prior to the establishment of the state, saw as the main task the poisoning of relations between the Socialist-Zionist movement and the Communist movement, Davar said. It had now, however, raised its activities to a higher level, namely, to provoke conflict between Israel and the Soviet Union, the paper concluded.
