A report on the contributions resulting from the cooperation extended to the United Jewish Campaign by the American Christian Fund for Jewish Relief and by individual Christian donors was issued by David A. Brown, national chairman of the campaign. The Fund was organized about a year ago, under the initiative and leadership of a body of outstanding Christian clerical and lay leaders of the country, headed by Rev. Dr. S. Parkes Cadinan and Judge Victor J. Dowling, to conduct an independent appeal among Christians throughout the nation to supplement the $25,000,000 chest being raised by the United Jewish Campaign.
A total of $438,552 was received from Christian donors through the American Christian Fund, the Amos Society, the Literary Digest, which contributed .$5,00.0 and through local campaigns.
“The American Christian Fund for Jewish Relief has had an important influence,” Mr. Brown stated in his report. ”Prior to its creation. non-Jews had at various times subscribed substantial sums to the United Jewish Campaign.
