Dr. Israel Davidson, Professor of Medieval Hebrew Literature at the Jewish Theological Seminary, died at his country home in Great Neck, L.I. yesterday after a brief illness. He was 69 years old. The Zionist convention at the Hotel Commodore last night sent a telegram of condolence to Mrs. Davidson, paying tribute to “his monumental, scholarly works to restore and preserve the precious literary treasures of our people.”
