Dr. Felix Coblenz, Minister of the Berlin Reform community, has died here at the age of 59, after a long illness. Dr. Coblenz’s first post was as teacher of religion and preacher to the community at Bielefeld. He studied at the Theological Faculty of Berlin University. From Bielefeld he was called to the Berlin Reform community, to which he was attached ever since.
In religious matters, Dr. Coblenz held extremely radical views. He used his influence, however, always in favor of the Reform Community working in close association with the rest of the Jewish population.
