On May 9, the Men’s Club of Congregation Shaarey Zedek will sponsor a de-date on the question, “Resolved, that the Jews of the world should organize a public boycott against German-made goods to compel the German government to rescind its anti-Semitic policy.” Rabbi Leon Fram of Temple Beth-El will defend the affirmative, and Philip Slomovitz, editor of the Detroit Jewish Chronicle will oppose the proposal for a public boycott.
