Harry B. Hirsch, vice president of the National Farm School, was unanimously nominated to succeed Dr. Joseph Krauskopf as president of the school at a special meeting of the board of directors held last week following the death of the founder of the institution.
Mr. Hirsch pleaded the withdrawal of the nomination, insisting it would be best to get someone to head the institution who is able to devote his time exclusively to it. It was agreed by the members present that the services of a man of national prominence be obtained for the presidency.
To this end, it was decided to confer with leading institutional experts of the country in regard to the vacancy.
