On the 14th anniversary of the deportation to the death camps of 2,000 Mannheim Jews, a memorial was dedicated in the Mannheim Jewish cemetery by Chief Rabbi R. R. Geis of Baden and by Fritz Mayer, President of today’s tiny Mannheim congregation of local German dignitaries. Created in the form of an urn, the monument bears the inscription, “To Those Who Found No Grave.”
