The Washington branch of the American Zionist Council has placed a stone on the grave of the late British Capt. Stephen Theodore Norman, a grandson of Theodore Herzl.
Capt. Norman, a member of a British scientific mission, died in Washington in 1946 shortly after he heard of the murder of both his parents by the Nazis. He is buried in the cemetery of Adas Israel Congregation. Rabbi David Panitz officiated at the dedication of the monument. Maurice Friedman, chairman of the Washington Zionist council, eulogized Capt. Norman.
