An oak tree, as a memorial to the late Sophie Irene Loeb, was dedicated Friday at the Heckscher Children’s Playground in Central Park by school children from all parts of the city, the ceremony being conducted under the auspices of the Community Councils of the city of New York. Many prominent speakers and social workers who were associated with Miss Loeb, attended the ceremony.
