Irving Kane, immediate past president of the Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds, was given the Haym Salomon Award at the annual meeting of the Jewish Federation of Delaware at which he was the principal speaker. This award, for outstanding Jewish service nationally and internationally, has been granted to only two other persons–Rabbi Abba Hillel Silver and Edward M.W. Warburg. The award was in the form of a sterling silver bowl.
