More than 1,500 persons attended last night a reception in the Commodore Hotel for 100 delegates from twenty-six countries who have arrived for the War Emergency Conference of the World Jewish Congress to open in Atlantic City on Sunday. The conference will discuss problems of rehabilitation and restoration of Jewish communities in Europe.

Dr. Stephen S. Wise, Nahum Goldmann and Rabbi Irving Miller, leaders of the World Jewish Congress, were the principal speakers. Dr. Goldmann condemned what he called “Jewish isolationists who object to our unity” and declared that the best guarantee for survival of Jews was the “world unity of Jewish people.”
