Election of delegates to the Sixteenth Zionist Congress will be held throughout the United States on June 9, according to an announcement made by the Zionist Central Election Board of which Dr. Nathan Ratnoff is chairman.
All who have paid the Shekel fee of fifty cents for enrollment in the World Zionist Organization, will be entitled to participate in the election.
Lists of candidates nominated must be submitted to the Central Board, 111 Fifth Avenue, New York, not later than Monday, May 13th, after which time no nominations will be accepted, the Board announced. Elections will be on a national ticket. All Zionist groups, districts, camps and chapters, including the Zionist Organization, the Mizrachi, the Poale-Zion and Zeire-Zion, as well as general Shekel-payers will vote on one ballot and in unified election precincts throughout the United States. Any group of 100 Shekelpayers can submit a list of delegates to the Board. An effort is being made by the Zionist Organization of America to enroll a minimum of 250,000 Shekel-payers, which would entitle the Organization to 75 delegates.
