A deputation from the Board of Deputies of British Jews called on the Rumanian Minister in London today to discuss with him the re-union of Jewish families some of whose members are living in Israel and the others caught by an emigration ban in Rumania.
The Board, at its June meeting, adopted a resolution calling on the Rumanian Government to give its full help to the humanitarian task of reuniting these Jewish families. Leading the delegation this week was Board president Barnett Janner. Other members were B. Lieberman, F. M. Landau, Israel Cohen and A. G. Brotman, all officers of the Board.
