The issuance of an appeal to the Jewish communities abroad was decided upon yesterday by the special committee of the Club of Jewish Deputies appointed to find means of relieving the economic crisis affecting the Jewish population in the eastern provinces of the Polish Republic.
The committee further decided to register the unemployed Jewish workers, merchants and artisans affected by the crisis. A proposal to send a delegation of the Club to America was submitted to the Club and is being considered.
An appeal for support of the unemployed Jewish writers in Poland will be made to the Joint Distribution Committee, according to a decision taken yesterday at the annual meeting of the Jewish Writers and Journalists Association of Poland.
