Prime Minister Jan Malypetr denied to a Jewish deputation today that a proposed law for the protection of animals endangers the Jewish ritual method of slaughtering. He declared that the Jewish right to orthodox slaughtering is protected by the provision of the Czech constitution guaranteeing religious freedom.
The Prime Minister asserted that the Government rejects anti-Semitism and adheres to the principle of equality for all citizens.
