The report circulated recently from French sources that negotiations looking to the issue of a foreign loan to Poland were being conducted with the house of Rothschild and Kuhn Loeb and Co. of New York, and that Otto Kahn, representative of the latter house, conditioned the Jewish bankers’ participation in the loan on the removal of Jewish restrictions in Paland, are branded as “unfounded” in reliable quarters here.
It is also denied that the loan negotiations with J.P. Morgan Co. failed.
Senator Hamerling, a member of the anti-Semitic Party, a baptized Galician Jew. who was appointed to proceed to America to negotiate with the J.P. Morgan Co., it is understood, will not be able to make the trip because his alleged activities in Poland, while an American citizen, constitute him undesirable in America.
