Rabbi Meyer Berlin, president of the Mizrachi, Orthodox Zionist Organization, and Rabbi Aaron Teitelbaum of the Central Relief Committee, sailed on the steamer Mauretania for Europe on route to Palestine.
On the same steamer David Druck, member of the editorial staff of the “Jewish Morning Journal,” sailed for Europe.
Miss Fannie Rachel Moses of Brooklyn, chosen “Queen Esther” in the beauty contest conducted by the Jewish Workers’ Alliance and the New York “Day,” and Miss Esther Manischewitz of Cincinnati, Ohio, chosen “lady-in-waiting” in the same contest, departed for Palestine, their trips being the award for winning the contest.
A vistor to New York is Dr. Joshua Gottlieb, president of the Jewish Journalists’ Association in Poland, and vice-president of the Warsaw Kehillah.
Dr. Gottlieb is a prominent leader of the Zionist movement in Poland. He will spend about a month in the United States.
