The Department for Jewish Religious Matters in the Ministry of Education and Religions, was the first to be affected by the reorganization which is now being carried out in the Ministry.
The Department, which until the present existed as a separate unit was liquidated and assigned to the General Department for non-Christian Religions.
The Chief of the Jewish Department, Mr. Samuel Adelberg, was the only one to be retained in this position, not as Chief of the Department, however, but as recorder. The other Jewish officials will be dismissed January 1, 1925.
