A slump in the Israeli diamond industry, owing to falling sales in the United States, has been reported by the Office of International Trade, Department of Commerce.
The Department of Commerce said today that it has learned from the United States embassy at Tel Aviv that members of the Israeli diamond industry are reported making extensions of time for turning in dollars earned, or subsidies from their government.
