Rabbi Solomon B, Freehof, of Pittsburgh, member of the Commission on Jewish Chaplaincy of the National Jewish Welfare Board, has been designated by the Department of Defense to conduct a religious retreat for Jewish chaplains now serving at U.S. military installations in Europe. The retreat will be held in Munich from June 24th to June 27th.
Following the retreat, Rabbi Freehof, a former chairman of the Commission and a past president of the Central Conference of American Rabbis, will proceed to Berchtes gaden, Germany, where he will lecture to 500 servicemen from all parts of Europe at a Torah Convocation to be held in the Walker Hotel from June 28th to July 2nd.
