Deportation proceedings against Andrija Artukovic, one-time Minister of Justice of the Nazi puppet state of Croatia, who boasted that he had “solved” his country’s Jewish problem, have been postponed indefinitely by Immigration Service officials.
The postponement was granted pending Artukovic’s hearing before a Federal Commissioner and a Federal Court on a demand by the Yugoslav Government that he be extradited to Yugoslavia to stand trial on charges of murder.
