Pressed by Squadron Leader Samuel Segal, Laborite, to transfer the Cyprus deportation ferries to runs where they could be used to bring ##eeded food to Britain, Colonial Minister Arthur Creech-Jones said in Commons today that the transports “would continue to be available as long as they are required for their present purpose.”
