United States Department of Justice officials today advised Joseph F. Barr, national executive director of the Jewish War Veterans of the U. S. A., that the Department has begun looking into the question of Nazi George Lincoln Rockwell’s status as a possible foreign agent.

Meanwhile, it was learned that Senator Kenneth B. Keating, New York Republican, will request Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy to determine whether Rockwell has violated the Foreign Agents Registration Act, with a view to prosecution.

Mr. Barr discussed the matter at length with authorities in view of reports that Rockwell has been designated commander of the “World Union of National Socialists” during the Jail term of Colin Jordan, leader of the British Nazi movement.
