Deputy Premier Yigael Yadin will head a special ministerial committee to study the security services’ response to the March II terrorist assault on the Tel Aviv-Haifa highway. The Cabinet set up the committee, the third so far, to study the tragic event, because the ministers were dissatisfied with the findings of the earlier committees established by the army and the police. II will review the reports of the previous committees and will examine the areas of responsibility for internal security covered by the army, the border police, the regular police and the intelligence services. It is expected to recommend more efficient measures to coordinate the activities of the various bodied.
